Im not in interested the role, as apart from a likely increase in pay there is nothing about it that will be taking me in the direction I want my life to go in. I have already declined. I get calls from recruitment agencies asking me to apply for particular roles quite a lot- Weekly at the moment (my industry is desperately incestuous anyway) Thats why I know this one was so bizarre, because I have a large number of basis of comparisons! The practicalities are easy to deal with - its those damned feels i take issue with!

My family are the same
When a Consultant Neurologist diagnosed me with me Myalgic Encephamylitis my mum told me I was "lazy" and to "just try harder." It would have been easier to take if she hadn't spent 20 years as a mental health professional with a thorough understanding of somatisation

OMG that first T sounds terrible! Im so sorry you had to experience that. I don't know how I would have handled her - probably very badly! I agree about T's. I don't think my T lies as such. But he has all these thoughts and opinions about me, my life, my future, my treatment, that he doesn't share with me, and I hate that. ITS MY LIFE, MY BRAIN, MY FUTURE, and its my money paying him! I want to know whats going on in his brain as much as he wants to know what is going on in mine!
