no I did not tell my employers. my alters all had their own sense of agency and my dissociation was trigger related. what that means is any time I dissociated which ever alter dealt with the problem that caused me to dissociate/switch was the one that took control. this resulted in being able to work on many things with more accuracy and abilities.

example if I got triggered by something someone said about sex while I was on the phone the alter that dealt with that sexual activity took control and the phone conversation continued as normal.

in other words there was no reason to tell any of my employers that I had DID because my job was being done up to and beyond standards because I did have that trigger reaction called dissociating.

there's also the fact that America has privacy laws that state employers can not use a persons mental disorder to figure in a persons hiring, firing and job performance. they could not even ask me during interviews, applications or any other time whether I had any mental disorders or not.

as for accommodations... what was I going to say...hey boss I need to leave and I dont know when Ill be back you see Im not amanda, Im Rainy and I want to go home and watch tv with my blankie. or hey boss I need to go hook up with so and so now so bu bye. or hey boss Im going to move my desk over there because I would rather watch the ladies walking by...

see what I mean each of my alters had their own way of being. their own jobs, purposes, reasons for being created, how much control they head when in control all that stuff that is called sense of agency. there isnt much accommodating any of my bosses could do. If I didnt do my job I was fired and if I did my job I got to keep my job.

therapy and all that well I handled that just like a normal person did. I scheduled my sessions during my days off and when that couldnt be done or an emergency session was needed I did what normal people did I used one of my sick days, by calling in sick.
