I have seen my fair share of therapists, mostly just because I've been struggling for so long and have moved around. The last time I needed to seek out a new therapist, I looked at it like it was a job interview, which in a way is sort of what it is. I talked to many different therapists over the phone, narrowed my list to three choices and then set up appointments with each to get an in person impression and face to face dialogue going. After seeing all three, I tuned into my thoughts, feelings, and gut reactions and chose from there. It really helped me feel like I made an informed choice. Just a thought. I urge you not to give up on using therapy in your treatment. For me, some of the relationships I have had with treatment providers have been life-saving. I hope you are able to make steps forward that feel best for you.
