I was like your wife and knew what to say to the doctors to get them to prescribe me what I wanted. If your wife's doctor was truly acknowledging there was a problem, he would be reducing the amount of adderall he was prescribing instead of loading her up on sleeping pills now. Infact, most doctors won't prescribe more than 30mg a day. Your wife has found her a doctor that isn't practicing medicine morally or legally. I hate to say this but I wonder what hes getting out of this because it seems that a doctor who knows what he's doing would clearly see she's drug seeking and abusing..

(Edit): forgot to mention that I have ADD & take 30mg ER which I was short by five pills on this month, and had to confront her. She replaced them with IR pills, but denied involvement.
Yeah, I think I mentioned that I spoke to my therapist, who knows the other doctor professionally about it, and other than being taken aback regarding her prescribed daily dose he didn't bat an eyelash in surprise. I'm pretty sure he's going to pursue it further. I also had to tell my own psychiatrist that I was short pills this month & why, and we did all the pre-authorization work to switch me to Vyvanse. My wife asked me about that & I read off an account written by a dude on a drugs forum expressing his disappointment in not being able to get around the time-release effect of the drug when abusing it.
I told her my doc asked me to research it.
