I've been on Geodon since 2003 with a hiatus in 2007 of my own doing but as things spiraled out of control I fessed up that I took myself off it and then begged to be put back on and have been on it ever since. But my pdoc wants to take me off it as she no longer feels it's beneficial but also because I have had speech issues since 2011 and my pdoc no longer feels that's an acceptable side effect. The other side effect I've recently acquired is that I have become pre-diabetic so when I go in to see her this coming Monday I'm sure she'll even be more adamant on discontinuing Geodon. My pdoc is thinking of replacing Geodon with Lithium. I'm not optimistic about this idea.
