When I was a teen I saw a psychiatrist who worked in his home. He lived in a wealthy neighbourhood. My first session I noticed he had a few chairs covered in plastic. He told me I could not sit on the plastic covered chairs because he didn't want patients ruining his furniture. I sat on a old chair that looked like it was about to fall apart. He warned me he had security cameras throughout the room and would know if I touched anything if he left momentarily.

I found him dismissive and rude. Never returned.
