Hello LysthieaMoons: The Skeezyks is often awake late at night... sometimes wishing I could sleep... sometimes simply preferring to be up. What I do is walk slowly around-&-around the dark & quiet house... it's sort-of a walking meditation I guess. I'll walk anywhere from a half hour to a couple of hours. When I do go to bed, or go back to bed, (in cases where I was at some point in bed & asleep) I typically am able to get to sleep. Beyond this what I am aware of is simply the usual recommendations, stay off of the computer or smart phone for a couple of hours prior to bedtime, avoid caffeine, exercise... (I'm sure you've heard it all before...)
Beyond that, perhaps the reason you have no desire to sleep is that you dread what's coming the following day? If you're stressed about what is ahead of you during the day to come, not going to sleep can be a way of seemingly postponing the inevitable. There can be something comforting about being awake late into the night, I have found. If this is the case for you, then the answer is to take a look at what you can do to make whatever it is you do during the day more manageable so that you're not trying to lengthen out your evenings to the greatest extent possible.
