I frequently use yogurt for dogs and cats (esp kittens) with immune system problems and/or diarrhea. I use Stonyfield, since that contains more pro-biotics than other yogurts (six vs two).

For sick dogs and cats, I buy the Stonyfield Whole Milk Plain Organic. I've never had a dog turn down yogurt (of any flavor), and I've had very few kittens turn their nose up at it.

And in my house, I CANNOT eat a container of yogurt without having three drooling mutts stare at me longingly, waiting to see who gets to lick out the cup when I'm done...because I starve them, doncha know, and they never get any treats, right? ;-).

I wholeheartedly agree with the artificial sweetener comment. I'll buy lowfat or nonfat flavored yogurt for myself, but I won't buy anything sweetened artificially. It's sugar or bust for me.

Scratches to the pooch!
