Uh, yeah.....driving with open containers of alcohol in the car is just slightly illegal, pretty much regardless of where you live. Fines for DUIs aren't pretty, either, and neither is jail time, which you'll get for more than one offense.

I'd say a dead phone is the least of your problems. You're lucky it's not you that's dead instead.
