lol. I was thinking of this too, sister, when replying to your post about favorite T words.
It is when I am in crisis and she says to "Hang in there." I don't know what I want her to say, but I guess that isn't it. Probably it is "Hang on, I'll be right there!".

mouse, I also dislike the "you survived" that my previous T used to say. There is surviving... and surviving (thriving, I guess). It seemed kind of invalidating for some reason. Or like, yeah yeah well it's over now, move on. I know she didn't mean it that way, she meant that there was still something there, something to work with and life to appreciate and celebrate. But hearing that in the first or second session just didn't sit well.
My current T instead says frequently "It must have been so hard!" which is more validating and invites me to say more.
