the fact that you want to return the consideration or kindnesses you've been given is a testament to the goodness in your heart, your value as a human being. life it seems is sometimes giving, and sometimes receiving. everyone (even the "non-depressed" experience the same. would it help to see yourself not as a "taker", but a receiver? all the best quarterbacks in the nfl, college, and high school levels wouldn't be nearly as acclaimed without a good "receiver". don't feel bad for feeling bad. but do what you can to get over it...
