It can be changed, probably within the week. Been there; done that many times. I would also suspect Granite is not the only person who could be asked to provide transportation.
I'm not trying to tell Granite what to do, but I suspect standing up for her own rights and needs is something Granite has trouble doing because her family has a way of making her believe she isn't important enough or valued enough. Personally, I find Granite quite valuable and choose to encourage her to stand up for her own needs where she can.
