Not in my experience. I was on Lexapro for a year back in 2010 and didn't notice any hair loss or other adverse effects. I've been back on it for about three months now. I have been experiencing hereditary hair loss for the past few years, but it doesn't seem to be any worse since I started taking Lexapro again. My doc says it has one of the lowest hair loss risks (less than 1% in clinical trials) among prescription antidepressants. I've been pleased with the results and lack of problems so far.
