We use to have a lot of alternative ideas around here and whatnot but that has really fallen to the way side.
A while back I posted a Thread about having a IP stay and I wanted to share that it was very helpful and positive.... Responses??? Most everyone complained about how shytty and terrible IP is... Sure there are lousy places ... But My positive thread turned into a total downer and I was getting PM's saying I was lying
I also think its helpful if a member is having a on going problem that instead of making a new thread(s) daily just keep adding onto the original one.. Why? Well for a couple reasons... It's easier for people to kind of follow along and not have to read 3 different threads and try to piece together info so advice can be given.... And of course lots of threads are just getting pushed down into page 2 or 3 and that could be why some people are not getting much in way of responses and feeling left out.
Anywho.. Just my opinions

You have a lot of great ideas.
I do see quite a lot of posts asking about weight gain and trying to stay healthy, and I agree there is no "centralized place" to find this information. You have to go digging quite a bit to find what you want.
Maybe this is/isn't a great idea, but it's along the same vein... It would be nice if we posted a "weight gain and healthy eating" thread (like you're suggesting) which includes a list of meds which cause weight gain... because I also see a lot of people asking about which meds cause weight gain and which ones are weight neutral. Maybe I'll make this thread
It'd be nice if such threads were stickied too. I mean, we already have a stickied thread about helpful bipolar books. Why not other useful threads?
And wow, I'm so sorry that people accused you of lying about IP. That's horrible. I'm also sorry your thread turned into a downer.

Admittedly, I am a bit guilty of turning threads into a downer, but I'll try not to do that anymore
Also, yeah... some people do get frustrated when their posts land on page 2 or 3. I felt that way when I first joined.. I wanted to join in, and I felt bad that people didn't post much in my threads
