All medications are marked as [weight gain], [weight neutral], or [weight loss]. However, this doesn’t mean that you will gain weight on a weight gain med, lose weight on a weight loss med, etc.. Some meds also can cause either weight gain or weight loss, and are marked as such.

If you are concerned about weight gain, you may want to ask your doctor about Metformin, which may help you lose weight or maintain your weight while on a weight-gaining drug. Metformin is typically used for the treatment of type-2 diabetes and PCOS to stave off the weight gain, but can also be safely used for people with bipolar disorder. However, PLEASE consult your doctor on this. (It's only available by prescription anyway.)
