I am interested in ECT but I have heard that people have memory loss and that scares me. I've been on meds that effected my memory and I need it to do my work.

I thought ECT is a one time thing. Do successive treatments help more?

My doctor offered it to me but I have too much fear of losing my memory...but I hear it's great...and I'm all for anesthesia.

Is it worth the side effects overall?
