I live in an apartment with paper thin walls, not a house.  This is one reason I haven't had anyone over in YEARS and the other is that there is no one in my life now who's close enough or I feel comfortable enough with to have in "my space".
Also, parking is a REAL problem.....They would have to take a bus or I'd have to pick them up....We don't have guest parking either.
Conversations would not be private unless we whispered or talked really low.
