I seem more emotionally sensitive/fragile when I'm depressed. Even the littlest of things can aggravate my depression in a pinch. For example, let's say I spend 1 hour fixing up a fancy pasta dinner for myself, only to accidentally spill the entire meal on my living room carpet. So, not only did I waste time cooking food I can't eat, but now I probably have a stain in my carpet! Then I become even more depressed because I feel like a total f*** up.

Does anyone else have heightened emotional sensitivity/fragility during depression? And how long does it last for you?

For me, the worsened depression will last anywhere from a few hours to a few days before it returns to "normal" depression.
