Thanks for the replies! Good news - his depression is lifting, it helps him sleep and he doesn't feel overly sedated. =]
I took Seroquel several years ago. I had to switch to another antipsychotic because I got that Seroquel hangover. I was too sedated at my job.
lol I remember the first night I took it. My pdoc said this will sedate you. I want you to take it in bed, not earlier. He said I needed to be ready to fall asleep when it kicked in.
I said sounds good. I was in my pj's, took my first Seroquel pill. I decided to read until I was drowsy. Sure enough, I was sleepy within 45 minutes. I decided to use the restroom and then fall asleep. I had a bed that was quite tall. I needed to hop down to get off the bed. I started walking toward the bathroom and I got so dizzy I almost did a full face plant on the carpet! LOL
I did make it safely to the restroom and back in bed. My thought right before I fell asleep was pdoc wasn't messing around when he said take it in bed lol
