Hi, couch.
Well, I just spent the last 3.5 hours watching videos and taking tests to renew my CPR, first aid, and bloodbourne pathogens cards (they are up for renewal this month as it has been 2 years since I obtained them). I still have to attend the test out to demonstrate my skills before I will be given the cards, but that is only an hour class instead of a 5-6 hour class. I like that you can do the preliminary video watching and test taking at home online with the certifier I use. Saves time later.
I am scheduled for the skills demonstration class on July 5th. I should be recertified then. I swore that I was just going to let it expire, so I wouldn't have to be placed on my school's emergency contact list, but if I want to continue to be on call for one of the caregiving organizations I work with, I have to have the certifications, so it looks like I will be on my school's emergency response contact list for 2 more years. Oh well.
