Hello! I really love the idea of this thread! It's so easy to dwell on the bad things people do, that we tend to overlook the nice things that others do. So, thank you so much for making this!
Anyways, that being said, I know plenty of instances when people have been nice to me.
I'll start off with a small one.
As someone who has Depression, I often have depressive moments, but it's usually indoors. Once, it happened outdoors, and my family was wandering around and having fun while I was sitting at one of the benches. I must've been clearly upset, because a stranger approached me and asked if I was alright and told me to smile. So, I did. They left and I felt a bit better because of their kind gesture. I got up and joined the rest of my family, even if I was tired.
Sometimes kind acts leave an even bigger impact on me.
Like the time I came out to my mom about being Transgendered. She just smiled and told me she'd help me get my hair cut and get binders for me. She supported me effortlessly, switched pronouns, and called me by my preferred name. I don't usually cry. But in that instance, I cried so hard of joy. That was one of the biggest acts of kindness someone could have ever done for me.
