Well, the brain gets its ideas from somewhere. (Not that ideas are entities - it's all just hormones and electricity, but you knowwhat I mean.) So it is reasonable that a dream that elicits reactions from us is a signal that our brains are looking for some kind of processing. Or something. Hopefully I'll forget this one as soon as possible - two of the three themes are things I have dreamt about before, but never together like this.
