granite, maybe the clinic has a policy about not taking clients away? That it could be seen as unethical from the clinic's point of view. I'm sorry this is becoming so difficult with all the different options and your therapist's changing of her mind. It does seem that the constant in all of this is that she doesn't want to make things worse for you and would like you to move to her private practice. That's what I would hold onto and let her know that all the back and forth is making things worse, that you just want to be in her private practice and have that settled. (but still see her at the clinic tomorrow to get this all straightened out.)
