Yes, I'm still stuck on this car issue. Paying for it ought to be a major responsibility. Are you spending money on other things when it should be the priority. Would it be more economical to take the bus? I do. It was dreadful at first; I found it humiliating, but I am so very glad I did. It was the answer to solving my budget problems. I can now even address my debt.

There are associations which offer free money advice. Get their help to make up a budget. These people will also act as a go-between when it comes to contacting your creditors. They can negotiate on your behalf better terms on interest, etc. They can also help you consolidate your debt into one single loan with a bank at significantly less interest. In some cases they can act as an overseer of your spending (I didn't need their permission to make purchases but I had to turn in every single receipt over a year period. It made me very reluctant to make spontaneous and poor shopping decisions).
