In mental health there is a term called ...The revolving door.....this is a situation where.....

a person with any number or physical or mental health problems repeatedly ends up in crisis and repeatedly ends up hospitalized, constantly going through the same problems over and over and over again.

example...someone who repeatedly attempts suicide, someone who repeatedly needs to be hospitalized because they are a danger to their self or others,

the revolving door also means a person cycles through the same emotions, thought patterns behaviors over and over again...

example obsessive thoughts repeating over and over again...that was stupid I shouldnt have done that, that was stupid I shouldnt have done that that was stupid I shouldnt have done that,

repeating the same behavior, stuck repeating same problems over and over again, (using non triggering example) someone who repeatedly stops taking their medication which causes them to feel dizzy. someone who punches a wall gets a sprained hand, punches a wall gets a sprained hand,

the third meaning for revolving door is related to dissociative disorders where a person cycles through their alters repeatedly one after another because of the same trigger, showing the same behaviors, thoughts and actions...

Rainy has her blanket, the rain has let up to where its no longer thundering so red is no longer taking control to voice anger over the weather, and sunny did her job, purpose reason for being created to completion with handling the problem, all is calmed down and no longer rapidly switching from one to the other to handle the same triggering problem.

here in my location you can always tell when someone has revolving door type system because they have a history (all through their life) of repeating the same actions, same wording, same emotions when encountering the same trigger. because its dissociative related it doesnt just come on one self with DID one day, its there from the moment the child has dissociated into being an alter before the age of 5 (according to my locations mental health demographics\statistics.

how does this relate to me and my internal system. After being diagnosed with this kind of system I saw many patterns in my life, in every aspect of my life which resulted in my being able to control my dissociation problems better. the revolving door enabled me to understand what my triggers were and when I needed to use my therapy tools I learned in therapy.

.....In my location...... people with revolving door systems have the .....ability ....to heal much faster then others because their system doesnt depend upon developing co consciousness, communication... its more a situation of locating triggers and once that persons able to handle taking care of their self to where the alters sense of agency is no longer needed, the alters merge\integrate back together to all becoming one whole person again (no longer having DID)

by ability I mean once they know their system and know what their life long patterns are they....can.... if they choose to, use what is learned in therapy to make their life better. its up to each individual person with DID/this kind of system to decide for their self whether they ...want...to do trigger work and gain control over their dissociation\behaviors and problems. just like with any other mental or physical health problem here in the USA each person is in control of their own lives and mental\physical health decisions unless that has been removed (ie court appointing guardians to make those decisions for them)
