I know this is kinda awkward, but hear me out. Doctors used to induce orgasms in psychosis patients. Obviously that's no longer appropriate. But even for most people it can be a good way to relieve stress.
I'm asking for my roommate... Once again, awkward, but she hasn't had a sexual encounter in years. I know I'd be pretty high strung if I went that long without it.
Furthermore, when she has an episode she self harms and says it stops the voices for a while. Pain can release endorphins and block other nervous impulses. So does pleasure.
This is not something she would ever pursue on her own, I don't think it even occurs to her that it might help.
Do you think it helps?
