It's strange, because I believe I've experienced something like this, too. I have such a terrible time remembering things, staying focused, and thinking. Sometimes it's so difficult to manifest thought or it's really difficult trying to organize my thoughts into coherency. Sometimes my mind draws a blank on the most simple of tasks.
Eating seafood has actually worked to clear up my thoughts a bit and make me think on a more straight path and remember things a lot easier. Apparently fish and seafood in general is good for your memory and thought process, oddly enough. At least, it worked for me. A friend recommended it to me. So, maybe it could help you if you ate a lot of it? Since I live on an island, I can go out downtown and buy lots of seafood and fish. So, when we have the money and time, I do that.
