I'm so sorry this happened to you. I know it can be really startling when someone yells at you essentially for nothing.
Parking at my kid's school was difficult, as the road was a dead end. I would intentionally get there early to park in one spot where it was easy to get out of the space. All I had to do was back up a few feet and then I could drive forward quickly and easily. One day a women pulled up behind me and honked her horn. She wanted that spot. I didn't move. She got out of her car and told me to move my car ahead into the next vacant spot, as she didn't want to have to parallel park into that spot. I said no. She said "you can't move your car ahead?" I said no, she was really, really, really mad.
Some people have major entitlement issues. And sometimes you get caught up in those. I still struggle with the conflicts I encounter, two of which I've posted on here today. The only thing you can really do is keep reminding yourself that you are a good person and you've done nothing wrong. Learning to deflect others negativity isn't easy, but it's doable. And you can get good at it...eventually. Again, sorry this happened, it had nothing to do with you.
