I was on it last year when I was suicidal and it was utter garbage. First I got put on hold... which I'll admit got me laughing through my tears as it reminded me of Ministry's song 'Worm' where a help line call was basically mocked as a joke... and then the person I talked to was worthless at listening, and even more worthless at getting me the help that I needed. It's all vacuous posturing, to make it look like society cares. See also: Government employment assistance.

The mental health care system in our country is COMPLETELY BROKEN. We are a nation of people who don't give a ____ about those going through these types of struggles. I hate America and I hate it's lack of heart to help people in need. It's all lip service and no one putting the money (because that's why we don't make an effort, it's all about the $$$) where the collective mouths are. It's the same ____ when I approached HR at work about the issue. They could offer no help to me either... just "Find a therapist on your own". Yeah, been down down that snake oil path three times already. There's no way to even begin to find the right person to understand you, let alone who can give you the tools to solve your problems. Something needs to change.
