I decided against taking my son to the fireworks, Mainly because they didn't start until 9:30 and I didn't know how I'd entertain him in the park until then. I can hear a bunch of fireworks going off now, and my neighbor's set off some bottle rockets earlier. That brings back good memories. My father would always go down to Virginia (nj bans fireworks and pa won't sell them to nj residents) and get fireworks for the fourth. Just bottle rockets and sparklers, maybe some fountains. It was so much fun. I wish my son had a father who would do that. Personally I'm too scared of blowing my fingers off to handle fireworks.
Tomorrow I'm going to my sister In law's for a BBQ and some pool time. My son says he absolutely will not go in the big pool but maybe he will change his mind. It will be too cold for me to swim, only 86 degrees. I need it to be over ninety before I'm warm enough to swim. So we will probably sit on the edge and put our feet in. On the actual holiday I have no plans. Maybe set up the kiddie pool for my son to swim in. He likes the shallow pool.
