I really like and respect Maurice Bernard. His story is inspiring, and he demonstrates to others with preconceived notions about Bipolar that many people (including him) can be very successful, in spite of having the diagnosis. Although I'm not into soaps much, I always loved him on General Hospital as Sonny. Even as Sonny, they decided to write in the script that his character has Bipolar, which must be not only a role Maurice can relate to, but healing for him as well, I would imagine.
