When all is said and done, the Latuda costs over $1200.00 for 30 tabs at 20 mg. Insurance co-pays are negotiated by insurances. My co-pay was over $50.00, even after the $125.-- discount was applied to my co-pay.

I am not sure who is getting it for $15.00.
I have CareMark for med coverage and they are a huge company and should have a great rate negotiated with the company/manufacturer.

People on Medicare/Medicaid or other government types of insurance cannot use the discount card at all!

Even with coverage, my doctor is helping by getting some samples to help offset my costs as we increase the dose.

P.S. I think it's "criminal" and hate to use it at all. However, so far, nothing else has worked and/or I cannot tolerate other meds. So I am btw a rock and a hard place, aka a rock and a rock. I honestly would rather not be involved with Latuda at all simply because I feel these types of rates are truly "criminal."
I feel some of these companies are taking advantage of people.
I know about the need to raise money for research and more. Yet, this high of a price for people who need the med so much?
Just does not seem "morally" correct, even if "legal."
I'm having a similar issues with my Vraylar. The pdoc wrote a script for me but my insurance won't cover it since there is a less expensive option (Wellbutrin). The thing is, Vraylar is 450mg and I was already on 300mg of Wellbutrin before the doc switched me over to the Vraylar. Thankfully they've been kind enough to give me samples to get me through until I see the pdoc again in 2 weeks and we can maybe figure out another option. Sometimes I hate insurance companies (and I deal with them on a daily basis because of the work that I do).
