He had his third visit from the farrier yesterday. He was a good boy about it this time. First two times he acted up a little bit. Stood like a trouper yesterday. At the rate his feet are growing a couple more trims and he ought to have nice healthy feet. As his feet grow out we are able to trim off the nasty old stuff left from when he was not being cared for.
He came up to me while I was working in the yard today. It was horridly hot today. He came over and stood near me just looking miserable. I scratched him a bit and loved on him, but he still acted like he felt miserable. I took him over and turned the hose on him. He was a happy boy about the cool water. Woody, the other horse, came over so he could have a turn under the hose too. Smart boys!
Been on vacation the last couple of weeks. I'd planned to do some riding while I was home. It has been so miserably hot I just couldn't bring myself to ride. I go back to work this week, then have another week and a half off. Maybe we can get in some short rides then.
