One of the most "are you crazy" bright ideas I ever had was to tell my teenage son he could paint his room. He decided to get creative with blue, navy and teal. The wall started out off white.

He used those natural sponges and "patted" all 4 walls with the colors. I couldn't watch. Different might be one way to put it. It's kind of like being under water sort of. I get sea sick every time I walk in. (Know what he now does for a living...... nuclear tech on a submarine! LOL)

That's my only experience with blue, so can't be of much help.
