I never had this problem which ever alter was in control when it was time to get dressed thats what was worn. I mean we couldnt very well change our clothes constantly because that would have drawn attention to the fact that I had been abused and had DID. can you imagine being in school and getting triggered from body born to rainy and saying sorry teacher I have to go home and change Im not amanda so not wearing amanda's clothes. or out side playing with friends or at work. you get the picture. my whole system was on the mid set of do not tell, keep the secrets. not to mention my parents did not allow my siblings and I to change our clothes. in my family you got dressed in the morning and thats what you wore all day long until it was time to go to sleep, if my parents had allowed me to change my clothes constantly my mother would never had the time to work and raise a family. she would be home washing washing washing. drying drying drying. add to that as a child we did not have the money to buy complete wardrobes for every alter, to do that my parents would have needed to know I had DID, had alters, and many jobs to pay for complete wardrobes. even unmentionables would have been impossible to keep each alter in their own style and color.

my internal system found other less obvious to the public, ways to show their differences without calling attention to each other, so that their existence and secrets were not told.
