No, you see. The ATM was malfunctioning, out of order if you please. But there was no sign in the machine and when I went to take out money, it stopped in that part where is counting and around five minutes later it said "This machine can't give you money, please return later. Sorry for the inconvenience" and then it gave me a receipt of 1000 as if it had given me my money.

This happened a year ago with my mother in another ATM and the bank never refunded her money that had been taken in that no-transaction. And right now they told her that the transaction was in the system as successful, which means we are 1000 poorer and that they would put a form, see it with the administrative in charge and that she will get a refund next month.

Is it a scam? Yes, from the bank. Apparently, several of her friends had suffered the same and not a single one of them had given the money back. Pretty much is "If you use it, you bought it" and screw your economy.

My mother was angry but right now she is at peace. Calm. She really doesn't suffer for material things and money barely faced her. I guess that's why she managed to face my father in court for over 13 years. I envy her.

Feel better now. Time to digest the entire thing. But god, I'm so angry at this abuse by the bank. This utter disregard of our economy. But I guess I'm one of the thousands of stories that happens around the world.
