My mania exhibits as rage. No happy good feelings ever no extra energy just rage. So I got me one of those popup bags(you fill them with air and when you hit them they sit back up) and I beat the stuff out of it. I finger paint don't know why it helps me but it does. And I have an angry pillow that I beat the snot out of or scream into or whatever.
I also am very mindful of my reactions to things when I'm like that. I always take a deep breath before I answer anyone so I can have a pause and not snap at them.
