My therapist was always forgetting names, but as someone who is personally horrible with names (a terrible trait for a teacher but I haven't been able to get any better about it over the years for some reason and I have made very concerted efforts at it), I'm pretty forgiving about it. I know when I can't pull up a student's name, it has absolutely nothing to do with my feelings for them -- I just have a crappy memory for names.
