I agree, so I did some more research, and just found something that clearly explained the difference between most of us (HSP) and empaths.
(HSP= Highly Sensitive People).
Good or bad, the HSP FOCUS remains more on themselves, (their own interpretation), than the other person's actual feelings/thoughts/condition.
(Even with my very limited contact here, that article clearly explains why people like Ruari, are not empaths, but rather a HSP).
