I think it is, yes. When I first started taking it, for me it was an add-on to Depakote and Zoloft, I believe, two meds I have left behind since. Now it is an addition to Lamictal. It is really good for depression - when I started taking it, I was in hospital with severe depression and it worked wonders for me from the very beginning. Obviously we are all different, so what's working for me might not work for someone else.
