I have recently met unexpectedly with my classmates from school and college in restaurants and shopping malls. .I am a litte anxious if I have to make an impromptu conversation.These are people who I may have interacted normally while in school but not close friends. I don't know what to ask them.Usually I ask 1.How are you? What are you doing now? Where do you live? Do you keep in touch with other friends.

Other than these 4 questions,I can't seem to fill up the time.It seems awkward and I don't want to come across as distant. I also don't want to be best friends with them because I want the past to be past since I did not have a good experience in school and college.

I want to be friendly and leave a good impression.What do I ask?? I just want some nice questions. How will a perfect conversation go? Please help me be a good acquaintance because I'm sure I am being weird.
