I didn't think I had BP when I was pregnant so I didn't take meds.

If I had to do it again I would not take meds, but I wouldn't judge anyone if they chose to. The ones I am on are category C, which means risk to the fetus cannot be ruled ou that's why I wouldn't take them. That's also why I will never have another child; I am too unstable off meds, and I know I wouldn't be able to handle the stress of a newborn. I barely handled it when my son was born, and that was when I was in remission from symptoms.

But this is just my personal decision. You have to do what's best for you. If that means staying on meds during pregnancy, then that's it. But I would take the time to research what the possible effects of your particular meds are on a developing baby just so you can be prepared.
