For me not sleeping means mania to some degree (or mixed since occasionally I just straight there before noticing at least) is present. I'm supposed to let my pdoc know when I have 3 nights of limited sleep; I used to take an increased AP dose then but now I'm not allowed to have the extra meds present and I'm not sure you could have a PRN dose of clozaril during the year of bloodwork to be sure it's not harming you since they are only supposed to dispense it if you labs are fine for the week (my pharmacy has yet to figure that out and I get a month at time but it shouldn't be that way). There are times not sleeping means my mood has dropped but my pdoc needs to know that too (and generally I think that means I'll be mixed very soon).
