Boston is most likely like other cities. Homeless are faced w harassment. Theft. Disease.
Hunger. Thirst.
But some who live in poverty say it's easier to get help when homeless. Agencies have funding. Churches give out food and clothing.
I would rather live in a warm climate than back east. Staying warm would be just one more thing to worry about in winter.
I'm not a vet, but that gives me an idea. Another alternative might be to join the service, if they would accept me. If there's safe places to do laundry, shower, and sleep, and lockers, then it might not be so bad (barring any consideration of my medical issues). I would sleep in a facial mask like the ones doctors wear for extra protection against airborne illnesses. To be liked, I could also give out a limited number of them to others. Since I'm on SSDI (disability) and food stamps, I would probably save money that way.
