What meds are you on? I gained 40 lbs from Lithium and lost the weight after going off it.

I told pdoc I wouldn't take any more meds that led to weight gain. I will try a med that has a possibility of weight gain and if I don't gain weight from it then I will stay on it. Seroquel is an example for me.

I've heard Zyprexa is the worst for weight gain (per my pdoc).

I would take Lithium again if that was the only thing to stabilize me. I was in a bad way at the time and it pulled me out of a mixed state with psychosis. I took it with Abilify and a bunch of other meds. But it was life or death...I choose life, obviously.

Maybe you can switch meds. If not, rest assured the weight can be lost after you eventually go off it.
