Maybe not, especially if you have been trying sequential rounds of the neurotransmitter reuptake inhibitor type of anti-depressant. Our levels of neurotransmitters are set at certain level that are unique to each person. We can try to alter this with medications, but at some point, our body adapts and finds ways around the drug to return to its natural "set point" for those neurotransmitters (serotonin and norephinephrine in the case of Cymbalta). Have you tried any ADs that are not reuptake inhibitors? I am not as familiar with them, but perhaps they might be less easy for the body to circumvent. Are you also seeing a therapist? Good luck!
