I agree. My team has a high turn over quitting a lot I'm working 60 hrs a week that isn't balanced for me. The overtime is helping me achieve my goals because I plan on getting an apartment soon so I'm trying to stomach this job as much as I can.
My previous job was working in a tiny call center and help desk at a community college the lack of staff drove me nuts plus the dept had no future for me because of budget issues. I was always applying for positions in the college system but no offers previous job was part time. I can't do another part time job I finally made it to the $ I've been trying to save too.
I already checked for positions within this company to do they are in California. What I wouldn't mind doing is being on the email team but I do need to improve my phone skills but being insulted daily is a no no. The training is inadequate management and the owner said so themselves.
I have told managers/recruiters that I didn't want a job working 7 days a week I do get 2 days off. All of these Mon to Fri or Mon thru Thurs jobs yet I didn't qualify for them nobody didn't listen to my career needs.
I know they say take a job whatever that means but I agree if it's causing you mental stress then there's a problem. I've seen coworkers in the bathroom letting out the stress etc. These customers don't know we're new I believe in the products but not the abuse. The owner said it himself this job is not for everyone yet it's still hard to find any job.
I'm a laid back person working at a community college was ideal for me but they are in a lot of trouble. So yea stuck in a rock and hard place again. I do want to get an apartment that's important to me. I've came home not happy a lot but yesterday was a better day. I dread doing 12 hrs or 11 it's like hurry up. If I could find out how I can do another position within the company that'd be great how long I need to be there before I transition. My boss sees a lot of potential in me being a great agent which is great and everything again not when I am stressed daily I've been in tears twice with this job by customers.
