Its been awhile since I fasted but, it is wonderful thing to do! I use to do it all the time. Its very cleansing. It really helps center me.
I generally don't eat much meat, but before I fast I cut meat and all fats (no cheese or stuff like that) out of my diet for about a week. I eat nothing but fruits and vegetables .. Then I generally fast for 2-3 days. When I fast the only thing I have is liquids.
I spend those 2-3 days focusing on meditation and relaxation.
