i hope if i give you a personal story you will find some inspiration... it is one i've enjoyed sharing with others before...

as a young man it was important to me to be popular. more specifically, i wanted to have many girls to date, a different one every week is how i felt. i looked around and it seemed some had it that way. since i didn't measure up it began to weigh me down...

you see, my father had never told me... a man is not measured by the number of his girlfriends... it didn't seem that many others in the circle were aware either and collectively our group self-esteem fell because of our mistaken belief...

i broke away from the crowd when i made this realization... i felt, believed that there had to be more to being a man... it must also be true for women...

so don't try to compete on unhealthy mileposts, all suffer in the end... a person should be measured, if measured at all, on thier accomplishments and abilities, not appearance. a person may be beautiful on the outside and ugly as sin within...
