I think it's great that you think differently. You seem to have a strong moral code and integrity, that you have developed yourself rather than swallowing what society/media etc has fed you. Embrace it, you are one of a kind.
People don't like it because it shows their short comings or flaws. It reflects their image back to them in a negative light. That's their problem. Keep being you!
